Forty years of sport in Cinisello Balsamo

The Sport Festival is one of the longest-running and most beloved events in Cinisello Balsamo (Metropolitan City of Milan): in 2026, it reaches the milestone of its 40th edition. The protagonists are the pupils of the city's primary and lower secondary schools, who for one day transform the Gaetano Scirea Sports Centre on Via Francesco Cilea into a grand arena of play and movement.

A celebration for young athletes

The event opens with a parade of school delegations and institutional moments with local authorities, followed by competitions in various disciplines: cross-country running, long jump, vortex throw, sprint races, relays, and long-distance running. The day concludes with the official awards ceremony for the young participants.

Community and sports values

Organized by the Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo through the Sports Service, with the support of local sports associations, schools, and parent committees, the Sport Festival is much more than a competition: it is a moment of gathering for young athletes and their families, celebrating the values of sharing, commitment, and healthy competition. An event that tells the story of the deep bond between the city and grassroots sports.
