Cinisara Cheese

Before the arrival of the Cinisara Cheese brand, the promotion of the native breed in Cinisi took place in 2025 through the event "La Cinisara – Expo, Food, Workshop and Fair," organized by the Municipality on September 13, 14, and 21. On Saturday the 13th, at the Municipal Hall of the Palazzo dei Benedettini, the conference "La Cinisara… orgoglio cinisaro" and photographic exhibitions dedicated to pastoral tradition were held. On Sunday the 14th, between Corso Umberto and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele Orlando, there were craft expos, milking demonstrations, tastings of ice cream, cannoli, and milk and meat products, as well as showcooking with Sicilian chefs. On Sunday the 21st, in Contrada Piano Napoli, the Trade Fair took place, featuring the presentation of the book "Chianchi e chianchieri di vacca cinisara," meat and ricotta tastings, and folk performances. A program that solidified the Cinisara cow as a symbol of biodiversity and sustainable agriculture in the Cinisi area.
