Three days of sports, music, and community at Parco Aldo Moro
The Sports Festival is one of the most anticipated events of early summer in Ciampino, located in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, in the Lazio region. For three days, Parco Aldo Moro turns into a vast open-air gym: fields, platforms, and green areas host exhibitions and end-of-year showcases by numerous local sports associations, which open their activities to anyone eager to try them out. Admission is free, and the public is encouraged to participate actively rather than just watch.
The heart of the festival is the rich variety of disciplines offered by local sports organizations. Over the years, the event has featured contact sports and martial arts, tennis and table tennis, padel, archery, artistic gymnastics, skating, dance, athletics, outdoor fitness, and team activities. The associations offer free trials and demonstration lessons, designed to help children and teenagers discover new passions and encourage adults to get moving. The event also includes award ceremonies for athletes who have distinguished themselves throughout the season.
Alongside the sports, the Sports Festival offers a packed evening entertainment program: concerts by bands and cover groups, performances by young local talents, comedy acts, and entertainment. The evenings conclude with a festive atmosphere, with street food and gourmet stalls accompanying the public throughout the event. For families, there are inflatables, games, and workshops, creating a large neighborhood-party vibe that involves the entire community.
The festival highlights the values of sport as a tool for social gathering and inclusion. Among the most appreciated initiatives are activities focused on inclusivity, such as cooking classes open to everyone, held in collaboration with local associations. The goal of the Vivinsieme Ciampino association, which organizes the event under the patronage of the Municipality of Ciampino, is to make the park a place for meeting and community.
Located just a few kilometers from Rome and at the gateway to the Castelli Romani, Ciampino is a lively and well-connected city. The Sports Festival represents one of its defining events, capable of bringing together associations, families, young people, and enthusiasts in a single weekend around Parco Aldo Moro, the city's green heart.
From June 5th to 7th, 2026, Parco Aldo Moro hosted the fourth edition of the Ciampino Sports Festival, confirming its status as one of the most attended events on the city calendar. Local sports associations enlivened the park with demonstrations, showcases, and free trials: contact sports and boxing, table tennis, running and athletics, outdoor fitness, skating, artistic gymnastics, padel, archery, and dance.
The evenings featured bands and artists on stage, including acoustic performances, musical tributes, and cover bands, with entertainment for children including inflatables, games, and cooking workshops. There was no shortage of street food stalls, athlete award ceremonies, and a fireworks display to close the event. A weekend dedicated to sports, music, and community.
Parco Aldo Moro is located in Ciampino, in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital. The city can be reached by train from Ciampino station (Rome-Frascati/Albano/Velletri line) and by car from the Grande Raccordo Anulare via Via Appia or Via Anagnina.
Access to the event is free on all days.
Wear comfortable clothing to participate in sports trials; the event takes place outdoors, so water and a hat are recommended during the hottest hours.
