Master chocolatiers and Soave wine in the medieval village
Chocolate Festival is the event that transforms the medieval village of Soave, in the province of Verona, into the Veronese capital of chocolate every autumn. For a weekend, master chocolatiers liven up the historic center with chocolate-making demonstrations and a wide selection of pralines, bars, and creations, in a delicious pairing with the prized white wines of Soave, produced by local wineries.
The heart of the festival is Piazza Mercato dei Grani, along Via Roma, where the stands are concentrated on Saturdays and Sundays. Here, the Pro Loco also offers risotto, gastronomic products, roasted chestnuts, sweets, strawberries and chocolate, spritz, and Soave wine. The chocolate stands are open on Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday, offering visitors a journey of taste amidst the medieval architecture of the village dominated by the Scaliger Castle.
In addition to tastings, the program includes concerts and children's entertainment, art exhibitions, and stalls with local products. Organized by the Pro Loco Soave with the patronage of the Municipality, the event has free admission and has established itself as one of the sweetest and most beloved autumn food and wine events in the Veronese area, successfully combining chocolate culture with wine culture.
The 2026 edition of Chocolate Festival is expected in Soave on a weekend in October; the precise dates will be announced by Pro Loco Soave closer to the event (the reference edition takes place from Friday to Sunday, around the second weekend of the month). The festival brings master chocolatiers to the historic center, with tastings paired with Soave wines, concerts, and entertainment.
The detailed 2026 program will be published by Pro Loco Soave. Based on the established structure of the event, the weekend will feature, between Piazza Mercato dei Grani and the historic center:
