Chocolate Takes Center Stage in the Heart of Crema
Every January, the charming Piazza Duomo in Crema, in the province of Cremona, fills with aromas and colors for Choco Moments, the fair dedicated to artisan chocolate that draws sweet-toothed visitors and the curious from all over Lombardy. Along the stalls of the exhibition-market, you'll find pralines, chocolate bars, spreads, and desserts prepared by master chocolatiers using traditional recipes and contemporary experiments.
Show Cooking and Record-Breaking Creations
The beauty of Choco Moments is seeing chocolate take shape before your eyes. The master chocolatiers' show cooking sessions reveal how a praline is made, how a Sacher cake is prepared, or how a special chocolate bar is crafted. There's also the spectacular moment of the record-breaking 10-meter-long chocolate bar, made live in front of the audience.
Workshops for Adults and Children
Those who want to try their hand can participate in chocolate classes led by master chocolatier Giancarlo Maestrone, aimed at beginner adults, with theoretical and practical sessions on tempering, molding, pralines, and ganaches. For children, there's the Choco Baby area, with delicious activities designed for the little ones.
A Sweet Tradition to Start the Year
Choco Moments is one of the stops on the traveling circuit of chocolate festivals that tour Italy. In Crema, it fits perfectly into the city's winter calendar, between the Gran Carnevale Cremasco and other local events in the Crema region. Admission to the event is free: just stroll through Piazza Duomo to be tempted.

Three days of artisan chocolate in Piazza Duomo in Crema: the exhibition-market is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with stalls offering pralines, chocolate bars, and specialties from master chocolatiers. Every day, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, the Choco Baby space is dedicated to children; on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, there are chocolate classes with Master Giancarlo Maestrone (€30 per person). The show cooking program accompanies the entire weekend.
