The Carnival celebration dedicated to the little ones in the heart of Bellona
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
During the Carnival season, the streets of the center of Bellona, in the Province of Caserta, transform into a large open-air stage for the Children's Carnival. The event, designed exclusively for the little ones and their families, offers a program full of surprises: costume parades, street performers, roving shows, and free rides that fill the heart of the town with color and joy.
The event is promoted by the Pro Loco of Bellona, led by president Steve Stellato, with the patronage of the Municipality of Bellona and the collaboration of the UNPLI (National Union of Pro Loco of Italy) and the local school institute. The involvement of local schools and associations makes the Children's Carnival an event deeply rooted in the community, capable of bringing different generations together around a simple and genuine celebration.
Born as a small neighborhood party, the Children's Carnival of Bellona has become an unmissable event over the years, growing in importance with every edition. Its formula, entirely dedicated to children, is its strength: no competition between large floats, but an afternoon of play, music, and imagination where the absolute protagonists are the little ones.
Bellona is a town of about six thousand inhabitants in the Agro Caleno area, in the Province of Caserta, in Campania. In a region where Carnival is experienced with great popular participation, the Bellona festival stands out for its family and small-town atmosphere, offering residents and visitors an authentic way to experience this tradition in the Caserta territory.
The Children's Carnival of Bellona returns in 2026, during the usual Carnival period culminating in Shrove Tuesday on February 17th. The event, organized by the Pro Loco of Bellona with the patronage of the Municipality, confirms its mission: a festival entirely dedicated to the little ones, featuring masks, colors, and entertainment along the streets of the center.
At the moment, the Pro Loco has not yet released the detailed program or the official dates for the 2026 edition. Information will be updated as soon as it becomes available on the channels of the Municipality of Bellona and the Pro Loco.

An open-air, family-friendly event: comfortable clothing and costumes for children are recommended. Check dates and the program on the channels of the Municipality of Bellona and the Pro Loco before setting off.
