Wine tastings and local products on the shores of Lake Maggiore
Following its spring stop in May, Che Bolle! returns to Lesa for a second event, scheduled for August 29 and 30, 2026. The traveling food and wine festival organized by the Che Bolle APS Association once again chooses the Lake Maggiore promenade as its stage: two days of open-air tastings, framed by the lake waters and the relaxed atmosphere of a late-summer celebration.
In the heart of the municipality of Lesa, in the Province of Novara, the lakefront transforms into a large open-air wine cellar. Along the route, you will find wineries with their tasting stands, as well as producers of olive oil, craft beers, spirits, and gastronomic specialties from various Italian regions. The festival was born with a special focus on sparkling winesโhence the nameโand has since expanded to cover the entire world of quality wine and gastronomy, with a particular eye for the excellence of the Upper Piedmont and Novara areas.
The formula is simple and proven: you purchase a tasting glass for 15 euros, which allows you to enjoy unlimited tastings of the wines from the participating wineries. It is an informal and convivial way to discover new labels, chat directly with producers, and pair wines with the gastronomic products offered by various exhibitors. Meeting the producers is one of the hallmarks of the event, designed for wine lovers and curious visitors alike.
Lesa is one of the most authentic villages on the Piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore, overlooking the water between Arona and Stresa. Its pedestrian promenade, with open views of the lake and mountains, is the ideal setting for an event that combines gastronomy, strolling, and lake panoramas. The Lesa stop is part of a broader calendar for the Che Bolle festival, which in 2026 also visits Arona, Angera, and Romagnano Sesia, moving between Lake Maggiore, the Varese area, and the Valsesia valley.
The late August date makes this stop the perfect occasion for a late-summer trip to Lake Maggiore: a glass of Piedmontese wine, a taste of local products, and a walk along the Lesa promenade, with the lake always in sight. An event accessible to everyone, blending high-quality wine selection with the relaxed vibe of a village festival.
The late-summer appointment of Che Bolle! in Lesa is set for Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, 2026, on the Lake Maggiore promenade. This is the second Lesa stop of the season, following the May event, and is part of the traveling calendar that also visits Arona, Angera, and Romagnano Sesia in 2026.
The formula remains the usual one: with the 15-euro tasting glass, you can enjoy unlimited tastings of wines from the participating wineries, accompanied by olive oil, craft beers, spirits, and regional Italian products. The list of wineries and exhibitors, along with precise times, will be published by the Che Bolle APS Association closer to the dates.
The detailed program for the Lesa August stop, including the list of participating wineries and exhibitors and opening hours, will be communicated by the Che Bolle APS Association in the weeks preceding the event.
