Parco Santuccione transforms into the Wild West for a weekend of music, dancing, and street food
The Country Festival is one of the most vibrant summer events in Cepagatti, a town in the province of Pescara, Abruzzo. For one evening, Parco Santuccione dresses up as the Wild West: wide-brimmed hats, boots, plaid shirts, and line dancing transform the local public park into a star-spangled ranch where families, young people, and American music fans gather until late at night.
The heart of the festival is the line dancing, led by dancers and instructors who get the crowd involved in group choreography. Around the dance floor, a true themed village comes to life: horses and ponies for the little ones, an exhibition of custom cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, entertainment, and face painting. The suggested dress code is, of course, cowboy style, with hats and boots to get into the spirit of the evening.
The soundtrack is provided by The Baron's Band, who accompany the evening with a live concert dedicated to country and rock hits. There are numerous food stalls: from the essential Abruzzo arrosticini to porchetta, as well as pizzas, sandwiches, roasted corn, and local specialties, all paired with beer and drinks.
The event is organized by the Municipality of Cepagatti in collaboration with the Country Rock Summer Festival, with the participation of the Giacche Verdi and the Cepagatti Pro Loco. Launched in 2025, the Country Festival immediately won over the public: the first edition attracted over a thousand people from across the region, quickly becoming one of the signature events of the Cepagatti summer, alongside the Patronal Feast of San Rocco and Santa Lucia.
The 2026 Country Festival kicks off August in Cepagatti over two days, August 1st and 2nd, at Parco Santuccione. The main event is on Saturday, August 2nd, scheduled from 6:30 PM until midnight.
The entire format that made the first edition a success is confirmed: group line dancing, horses and ponies for children, an exhibition of custom cars and Harley motorcycles, entertainment, and face painting. The suggested dress code remains cowboy style.
