Cavalese White Night

A night of celebration in the heart of Cavalese

The Cavalese White Night is the major summer event that brings the historic center of the Val di Fiemme capital to life, in the municipality of Cavalese, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). For one late-summer evening—usually a Saturday in August—the village turns into a sprawling stage. The center is closed to traffic, streets and squares overflow with performances, and museums, shops, and bars remain open until midnight. Bathed in moonlight, the village welcomes residents and visitors alike for a community-wide celebration.

Performances, music, and street theater

The White Night program is designed for all ages and unfolds across the historic streets and squares of Cavalese, from Piazza Italia to Piazza Scopoli and the smaller squares in the center. Past editions have featured live concerts, dance music, dance performances, street theater, roaming stilt walkers and fire performers, folk groups, and interactive entertainment.

• Theatrical and roaming performances, featuring stories based on local legends and valley traditions;
• Children's entertainment, including face painting, games, baby dance, and carriage rides;
• Special openings of museums and exhibitions, often with free admission.

A Night at the Palace

The heart of the event is the A Night at the Palace initiative, featuring a special evening opening of the Palazzo della Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, a historic institution that has managed the valley's collective assets for centuries. The palace, with its frescoes and grand halls, is open for evening visits, often paired with exhibitions dedicated to the history of Fiemme.

A Fiemme community event

The White Night is organized by the Municipality of Cavalese in collaboration with local associations, merchants, and the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme. Over the years, it has become one of the most popular summer events in the area: the 2024 edition drew over two thousand residents and vacationers. For those spending their holidays in Val di Fiemme, it is the perfect opportunity to experience the center of Cavalese in a festive and convivial atmosphere.
