The Carnival Parade of Municipality 4 is a neighborhood festival that annually fills the streets of Calvairate, Milan, with masks and confetti. Organized by Municipality 4 along with numerous local associations, it is designed to be accessible to all Milanese families, with entirely free activities.
From the procession to the park
The meeting point is at the Calvairate Library, in Piazzale Martini, from where the masked parade departs, crossing the neighborhood streets. The procession concludes at Formentano Park (Largo Marinai d'Italia), which hosts an afternoon of shows, games, and workshops.
Shows, puppets, and music
The program at the park is rich and varied: theatrical performances by Teatro della Zucca, puppet shows by Burattini Aldrighi, music by the Gran Milan Dixieland Society, and creative workshops led by organizations like Artemide APS, Terracò, and Fucine Vulcano. There's also a reading corner by the Sottosopra bookstore, and costumes and entertainment by LaLory Costumi, Trottola Urbana, and Athos Careghi.

The procession arrives at Formentano Park (Largo Marinai d'Italia), which hosts the heart of the celebration.
The park features a succession of theatrical performances, puppet shows, dixieland music, and creative workshops, all free and designed for families. An event organized by Municipality 4 with the involvement of local associations.
