A Carnival Among Fairy Tales

The Carnival of Fairy Tales is the event with which the Pro Loco Città di Suzzara celebrates Carnival in the historic city center, in the Province of Mantua. The chosen theme is that of fairy tales: a theme that ignites the imagination of the little ones and transforms the streets of Suzzara into an enchanted world made of floats, costumes, and fairy tale characters.

The Parade and Procession

The heart of the day is the parade, which starts from the meeting point in Via Rossellini and moves along Viale Virgilio, Piazzale Spartaco, Via Cantoni Marca, and Piazza Luppi, concluding in the heart of the city. Masks and groups animate the procession, welcomed by an audience of families and curious onlookers who crowd the route. For the occasion, the Municipality of Suzzara implements the necessary traffic changes to ensure the event takes place safely.

Games, Sweets, and Greased Pole

Upon arrival, the play area welcomes children with entertainment and activities, while stands offer typical Carnival sweets. The tradition of the greased pole is also present, a popular game that challenges young and old to compete in climbing. It is a free-admission festival, designed to involve the entire Suzzara community in an afternoon of pure joy.
