The Carnival afternoon dedicated to the little ones in Ortezzano
When Carnival is in full swing, Ortezzano, a small hilltop village in the Province of Fermo in the Marche region, also dresses up for its youngest inhabitants. The Carnival of Boys and Children is the event that the Pro Loco dedicates each year to the children and young people of the village: an afternoon entirely built around their fun, in costume and amidst confetti.
The heart of the festival is the Ortensia Multipurpose Hall, the indoor municipal space that allows families and children to be welcomed even on cold February days. Here, starting in the afternoon, there is a succession of entertainment, music, and dances, with games and activities designed for different ages. There is no shortage of snacks with typical Carnival fritters and sweets, a moment as eagerly awaited as the masked parades.
The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Ortezzano with the patronage and collaboration of the Municipality. It is one of those initiatives that, as the municipal administration has emphasized, demonstrate how even in the winter months, local associations are committed to enlivening community life. In Ortezzano, the Carnival period is particularly felt and involves various local entities, from the Pro Loco to other local associations, with several events concentrated at the Ortensia Hall.
Simple, free, and family-friendly, the Carnival of Boys and Children is how Ortezzano celebrates one of winter's most beloved traditions, filled with joy and togetherness.
On Saturday, February 14, 2026, the Ortensia Multipurpose Hall in Ortezzano hosted the Carnival of Boys and Children, starting at 4:00 PM.
