The Carnival parade that challenges the four oratorians of Albino
The Carnevale degli Oratori in Albino, in the province of Bergamo, is a masked parade that pits the four oratorians of the Municipality against each other: Albino, Bondo, Comenduno, and Desenzano. Each oratorian prepares its own float, costumes, and choreographies around a theme, creating a friendly competition that is above all a great community celebration.
The Carnival has a common thread that changes from edition to edition. The parade, enlivened by music, masks, and confetti, starts from Piazza Libertà and crosses the center of Albino, culminating in the traditional grand final bonfire, the most anticipated and spectacular moment of the day.
Now in its eleventh edition, the Carnevale degli Oratori is a well-established event in Albino's calendar. It primarily involves children, young people, and families, with free admission, and is an opportunity to experience the cheerful and participatory spirit of Carnival in the Bergamo valleys.
The 2026 edition, the eleventh, has the theme «ORASTORIES, a carnival in ancient civilizations». The parade starts from Piazza Libertà at 2:30 PM and crosses the center of Albino, concluding with the grand final bonfire.
The four oratorians interpret as many past civilizations.
