Crafts, local flavors, and festive magic in the village of Giulia Farnese
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
During the most magical time of the year, the village of Carbognano, in the province of Viterbo, transforms into a small Christmas village. The Carbognano Christmas Markets are a traditional event that, every year during the Immaculate Conception weekend, attracts visitors from across the Tuscia region and Upper Lazio. The setting is truly exceptional: the former church of Santa Maria, an elegant 16th-century building commissioned by Giulia Farnese, whose frescoes provide a stunning backdrop for the stalls.
The market features stalls ranging from handcrafted products to local food and wine specialties. Among the booths, you will find unique gifts, original ideas, and the typical flavors of local cuisine, perfect for getting into the festive spirit and finishing your Christmas shopping while strolling through the historic center.
The little ones are the true stars: they can look forward to meeting Santa Claus, playing games, and participating in creative workshops and coloring activities that make the day special for the whole family. It is an opportunity to experience Christmas in an authentic way, far from the hustle and bustle of large shopping malls.
The event is made possible by the dedication of the Christmas Market volunteers together with the Pro Loco Giulia Farnese and the Carbognano Festival Committee, under the patronage of the Municipality of Carbognano. A collective effort that highlights the community's strong bond with its traditions.
