The Meteor class in Chioggia
The Campionato Adriatico Meteor is one of the flagship events for the Meteor class, one of the most widespread and beloved keelboat dinghies in Italian sailing. It takes place in the waters of Chioggia, a lagoon city in the province of Venice, and brings together crews of the class from all over the Upper Adriatic.
A calendar event
The regatta is organized by the Circolo Nautico Chioggia together with Il Portodimare and also counts as the Meteor zonal championship. It is part of Chioggia's packed 2026 sailing calendar, which from early February to November offers over forty events including offshore, lagoon, and open-sea regattas, involving classes such as ORC, OPEN, Meteor, ILCA, and Optimist.
