Calici in Bisaccia, Molise's Toast
Born in 2024, Calici in Bisaccia — Wine and Territories is the Christmas food and wine event that Montenero di Bisaccia, in the province of Campobasso, dedicates to Molise wine and local typical products. It takes place in the days after Christmas in Piazza della Libertà, the heart of the town.
Wineries in the Square
The town hall park and the square are transformed into a large meeting space, enlivened by over fifteen Molise wineries coordinated by the San Zenone Viticultural Cooperative. You can taste IGT and DOC wines from the region, accompanied by food stalls with local specialties. The day opens with the "Wine and Territories" conference in the Council Chamber and continues with the ribbon-cutting ceremony, tastings, and live music.
A Growing Celebration
Promoted by the Municipality of Montenero di Bisaccia along with the Pro Loco, the Chamber of Commerce of Molise, and Visit Montenero di Bisaccia, the event aims to strengthen the town's image as a place of culture, hospitality, and food and wine quality, enhancing the wine-growing vocation of lower Molise.
Calici in Bisaccia — edition 2026
Building on the success of the first two editions, Calici in Bisaccia — Wine and Territories is also expected in December 2026 in Montenero di Bisaccia. The established format includes the "Wine and Territories" conference in the Council Chamber, the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Piazza della Libertà, tastings of Molise IGT and DOC wines from wineries coordinated by the San Zenone Viticultural Cooperative, food stalls, and live music. The exact date will be announced by the Municipality in the weeks preceding the event.

The detailed hourly program for the 2026 edition will be released by the organizers closer to the event. Based on previous editions:
- 6:00 PM — "Wine and Territories" Conference in the Council Chamber (Cantina Sociale San Zenone)
- 7:00 PM — Ribbon-cutting ceremony in Piazza della Libertà and opening of the wineries
- Tastings of IGT and DOC wines from over fifteen Molise wineries
- Food stalls with local products
- Live music in the square

Montenero di Bisaccia can be reached by car from the Vasto Sud-San Salvo exit of the A14 motorway. Nearest train station: Montenero-Petacciato. The event takes place in Piazza della Libertà and the town hall park.
