About Borgo diVino Grottammare

Borgo diVino in tour arrives in Grottammare (AP) for a three-day event dedicated to fine wines and Italian food and wine excellences. Among the alleys of the ancient village, Piazza Peretti and Via Palmaroli are transformed into a tasting route with over 100 labels from all over Italy, local gastronomic specialties, and live music. It is one of the Marche stops of the travelling exhibition promoted by the association I Borghi più belli d'Italia (The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy).

Wine takes centre stage in the ancient village of Grottammare

Every summer, the historic centre of Grottammare, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, hosts one of the most anticipated stops of Borgo diVino in tour, the travelling food and wine exhibition that crosses Italy's most beautiful villages. For three days, Piazza Peretti and Via Palmaroli, at the foot of Monte Castello and in the heart of the Riviera delle Palme, come alive with tasting stands, the aromas of local cuisine, and live music.

Grottammare, part of the circuit of I Borghi più belli d'Italia, is the ideal setting for an event that combines wine culture with the charm of a medieval village overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Wandering through the alleys with a glass in hand, discovering wineries from all over Italy, is how this event invites you to experience the region.

How the tasting works

The heart of the event is the tasting route: with a voucher, you receive eight tastings of your choice from over a hundred available labels, selected from dozens of wineries that change and update annually until a few days before the opening. Entry to the area is free: you only pay if you wish to participate in the tastings.

Not just wine

Alongside the winery stands, a gastronomic area offers traditional Marche dishes and typical village specialties to enjoy during the evening. Live music accompanies the three days, making Borgo diVino in tour also an occasion for evening celebrations for residents and tourists of the Riviera delle Palme.

A national exhibition among the villages

Borgo diVino in tour, founded in 2014, is a project promoted by the association I Borghi più belli d'Italia and produced by Experience Lab (Valica group), which each year visits dozens of selected locations across the country. The Grottammare stop represents the Marche appointment of the exhibition and has become a well-established tradition of the town's summer season.
