About Book Festival
A festival dedicated to books and readers
The Book Festival is the literary event that enlivens Vimercate every year, a municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza. It is organized by the association #iostoconilgabbiano, with the patronage of the Municipality of Vimercate, and its natural home is the Libreria Il Gabbiano, in Piazza Papa Giovanni Paolo II 1, a cultural reference point for the city for years.
Meet the authors
The heart of the review is the book presentations and author meetings, which follow one another at a rapid pace over several weeks. Fiction, non-fiction, and local stories alternate, in direct dialogues between writers and the public. All events have free admission, in line with the event's spirit of openness.

Over the years, the Book Festival has become an anticipated event for readers in Brianza, capable of bringing voices from the Italian publishing scene to the bookshop and also highlighting authors and stories linked to Vimercate and its territory.

The 2026 edition of the Book Festival at Libreria Il Gabbiano in Vimercate offers a rich calendar of presentations and author meetings, concentrated between late May and June. The review, with free admission, is organized by the #iostoconilgabbiano association with the patronage of the Municipality.

How to get there
Libreria Il Gabbiano is located in Piazza Papa Giovanni Paolo II 1, in the center of Vimercate (Monza and Brianza). The city is connected to Monza and Milan by tram-bus and bus; by car, it can be reached from the Tangenziale Est of Milan.
