About BOEM

On the pier and beach of Bogliasco, a small fishing village a few kilometers from Genoa, the BOEM Festival ignites three days of music with a view of the Ligurian Sea. An independent and free festival, with a boutique feel, that brings together refined electronic, indie, and boundary-pushing sounds. Two stages overlooking the water, the pier and the beach, host Italian and international artists from sunset to late night. An event for those seeking a different kind of summer, away from large gatherings, made of musical discoveries, evening swims, and a relaxed atmosphere on the Riviera di Levante.

A festival by the sea just a stone's throw from Genoa

The BOEM Festival takes place in Bogliasco, a seaside village on the Riviera di Levante in the province of Genoa, just beyond the city. The setting is among the most evocative a music festival could wish for: the village's pier and beach, with pastel-colored houses clinging to the hillside and the Ligurian Sea in front. Here, every summer, a curious and passionate audience gathers for three days of music from sunset to midnight.

Indie and electronic, beyond genres

BOEM defines itself as an independent, countercultural, and ethical festival, designed to discover new music beyond genres, trends, and prejudices. The lineup mixes electronic, indie, ambient sounds, and DJ sets, featuring Italian and international artists who alternate between experimental and danceable music. The two stages overlooking the water—the pier stage and the beach stage—allow you to move from one concert to another without ever losing sight of the sea.

Free and open to all

One of BOEM's most beloved aspects is its accessibility: admission is free and no booking is required. You can arrive in the afternoon, take a dip, stop for an aperitif, and stay until late listening to music with your feet in the sand. It is this blend of informality, musical quality, and landscape that makes the festival a small gem of the Ligurian summer season.

Bogliasco and the Riviera di Levante

Bogliasco is the gateway to the Golfo Paradiso and the Portofino Park: an ideal starting point for those who want to combine music with walks in the hills, trails towards Pieve and Sori, and the coastal cliffs. The festival enhances the village and its seafront, transforming the small municipality into a hub for the independent music scene for a few days.

BOEM — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the BOEM Festival runs from June 26 to 28 on the pier and beach of Bogliasco. Three free evenings with an international lineup ranging from electronic to indie, spread across two stages overlooking the Ligurian Sea, from the afternoon until midnight.

For 2026, the BOEM Festival confirms its three-day format, from Friday to Sunday, with two stages: the molo stage and the beach stage. The lineup alternates between international electronic scene names, indie projects, and DJ sets that continue every night until late. Admission remains free and without reservation, true to the festival's independent spirit.

Practical information — BOEM

How to get there

Bogliasco is served by the train station on the Genoa–La Spezia line, a few minutes from Genoa's main city hubs. By car, it can be reached from the Genoa Nervi highway exit or the Aurelia coastal road; parking in the village is limited, so it's best to prioritize the train.

Admission

Free admission, no booking required. The festival takes place on the pier and the free beach of the village.

Tips

Bring your swimsuit and towel: a dip between concerts is a must. Evenings by the sea can be cool, so it's best to have a sweatshirt.
