The BOEM Festival takes place in Bogliasco, a seaside village on the Riviera di Levante in the province of Genoa, just beyond the city. The setting is among the most evocative a music festival could wish for: the pier and the beach of the town, with pastel-colored houses clinging to the hillside and the Ligurian Sea in front. Here, every summer, a curious and passionate audience gathers for three days of music from sunset to midnight.
Indie and electronic, beyond genres
BOEM defines itself as an independent, counter-cultural, and ethical festival, designed to discover new music beyond genres, trends, and prejudices. The lineup mixes electronic, indie, ambient sounds, and DJ sets, featuring Italian and international artists who balance experimentation and dancing. The two stages facing the water—the pier stage and the beach stage—allow you to move between concerts without ever losing sight of the sea.
Free and open to all
One of BOEM's most beloved aspects is its accessibility: entry is free and no reservation is required. You can arrive in the afternoon, take a swim, stop for an aperitif, and stay until late at night listening to music with your feet in the sand. It is this mix of informality, musical quality, and landscape that makes the festival a small gem of the Ligurian summer season.
Bogliasco and the Riviera di Levante
Bogliasco is the gateway to the Golfo Paradiso and the Portofino Park: an ideal starting point for those who want to combine music with walks in the hills, trails towards Pieve and Sori, and the coastal cliffs. The festival enhances the village and its seafront, transforming the small municipality into a reference point for the independent music scene for a few days.

For 2026, BOEM Festival confirms its three-day format, from Friday to Sunday, with two stages: the pier stage and the beach stage. The lineup alternates between international electronic scene names, indie projects, and DJ sets that continue every evening until late at night. Entry remains free and without reservation, true to the festival's independent spirit.

How to get there
Bogliasco is served by the train station on the Genoa–La Spezia line, a few minutes from Genoa's main city hubs. By car, it can be reached from the Genoa Nervi highway exit or the Aurelia coastal road; parking in the town is limited, so it's best to prioritize the train.
Admission
Free entry, no reservation required. The festival takes place on the pier and the free public beach of the town.
Tips
Bring your swimsuit and towel: a dip between concerts is a must. Evenings by the sea can get cool, so it's advisable to have a sweatshirt.
