The great festival of youth cycling in Brugherio
The Blue Day of Cycling Brugherio is the great festival of youth cycling in Brugherio, in the province of Monza and Brianza, organized by the historic S.C. Brugherio Sportiva. For an entire Sunday, the city circuit hosts hundreds of young riders, in an event that is simultaneously a race, a celebration, and a showcase for local cycling talent.
The day features competitions for the Esordienti, Allievi, and Giovanissimi categories, with races awarding trophies steeped in tradition, including the Trofeo Cittร di Brugherio. The races for Esordienti and Allievi also count as a round of the Provincial Championship of Monza and Brianza, adding further prestige to the event.
With over 450 registered athletes, coming from Lombardy and other regions, the Blue Day is one of the most attended events in Lombardy's youth cycling scene. The community dimension of the event is underscored by the refreshment service managed with the support of the Gruppo Alpini of Brugherio, a symbol of the bond between sport and the local territory.
Lombardy is one of Italy's cycling heartlands, and events like the Blue Day are a fundamental building block for the growth of young riders. S.C. Brugherio Sportiva, a historic club in the province of Monza and Brianza, dedicates great attention to its youth sector, and its annual festival attracts athletes and families from across the region and beyond. Seeing the streets of Brugherio closed to traffic and filled with hundreds of young cyclists is also a way to bring the community closer to a sport that has deep roots in Italy. Trophies, awards, and refreshments complete a day that is a race, a local festival, and an investment in the future of cycling.
