The craft beer festival in Monterchi, Valtiberina
BirrArt Fest is the event dedicated to craft beer that enlivens the town of Monterchi every summer. Located in a small village in the Valtiberina valley, in the province of Arezzo, Tuscany, the festival was born in 2015 from an idea by the Homo Selvatico Association. Over the years, it has grown into one of the most anticipated summer events in the Valtiberina, attracting beer enthusiasts, families, and curious visitors from across the region.
The festival takes place at the "Piero della Francesca" Municipal Stadium, a spacious and welcoming venue that hosts stands, a stage, and dining areas. For three nights, the festival offers a rotating selection of craft beers, accompanied by food stalls and a street food menu designed to satisfy every palate. The stands typically open around 7:00 PM, as the village gathers under the stadium lights to kick off the festivities.
Live music is a staple of BirrArt Fest: every evening, the stage hosts bands and DJs who keep the atmosphere lively and informal until late. The program is rounded out by artisan markets and a funfair, making the event perfect for families with children.
BirrArt Fest is the result of the hard work of the Homo Selvatico Association in partnership with the Monterchi Pro Loco, two organizations deeply rooted in local life. The event is free to enter and serves as an important gathering for the Monterchi community, as well as a great way to showcase the village and its surrounding territory.
Monterchi is world-famous for housing the Madonna del Parto by Piero della Francesca, one of the masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance; it is no coincidence that the stadium hosting the festival is named after the great painter. Attending BirrArt Fest means combining the conviviality of a good craft beer with the discovery of an authentic corner of Tuscany, nestled in the rolling hills of the Valtiberina, just a few kilometers from the border with Umbria.
The 2026 edition of BirrArt Fest will be held in Monterchi (AR) from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th, 2026, at the "Piero della Francesca" Municipal Stadium. The usual formula is confirmed: rotating craft beers, food stalls and street food opening around 7:00 PM, live music every night, artisan markets, and a funfair for families.
The full schedule of guest breweries and concerts has not yet been published by the organizers: it will be announced through the official channels of the Homo Selvatico Association and the Monterchi Pro Loco as the event approaches.
The "Piero della Francesca" Municipal Stadium is located in Monterchi (AR), postcode 52035, in the Valtiberina valley.
By car: Monterchi can be reached via the E45 Cesena-Orte highway (Pistrino/Monterchi exit) and the SS73 road from Arezzo. By train: the nearest stations are Sansepolcro or Arezzo, with onward connections by bus or car.
Free admission. Food stalls and beer taps generally open around 7:00 PM each evening. Beers can be purchased on-site.
The event is family-friendly, featuring a funfair and markets. We recommend arriving early on the busiest nights to secure a good spot.
