The beer festival of Mondolfo

When the end of August arrives, the village of Mondolfo (Province of Pesaro and Urbino, Marche) lights up for Birra a Palla, the festival that brings together the three essential elements for a successful summer evening: plenty of beer, good food, and live music. The heart of the event is Piazza Borroni, the Sferisterio area in the historic center, which for two days becomes a large open-air gathering open to everyone.

Beer, food, and conviviality

The soul of the festival is, of course, the beer, served in various selections accompanied by the specialties of the food stands. It starts with dinner and continues late into the night between one pint and another, in a genuine and unpretentious village festival atmosphere. It's the classic get-together where you sit at a table with friends, chat, and then get up to dance as soon as the music starts.

Live music every night

Each evening features its own concert. The program alternates tribute bands dedicated to the great names of Italian pop music, folk dance music groups, and DJ sets that keep the square alive until late. It's a lineup designed to make audiences of all ages sing and dance, from families to the younger generation.

A summer tradition by Pro Loco

Birra a Palla is organized by Pro Loco Tre Colli Mondolfo APS, the association that enlivens the Municipality's event calendar throughout the year, from the 8-a-side Football Tournament in July to Christmas in the village. The beer festival is one of the most anticipated events of the Mondolfo summer and attracts visitors from neighboring towns on the coast and in the Pesaro hinterland.

It's worth combining the festival evening with a stroll through the village: Mondolfo is part of the circuit of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy and preserves walls, alleys, and views that deserve a visit. After the beer and music in Piazza Borroni, a walk through the historic center streets completes the evening.
