About BiComix

BiComix is the comics and cosplay festival held in Bisceglie, in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, Puglia. Every summer, the Tourist Port transforms into a vibrant hub for the ninth art, featuring author meet-and-greets, exhibitions, live drawing, cosplay parades, board and role-playing games, concerts, and family activities. Admission is free, and the atmosphere is that of a seaside celebration open to enthusiasts, curious visitors, and children alike.

BiComix, the comics festival on the Bisceglie seafront

BiComix is the comics and cosplay festival that brings the Bisceglie Tourist Port to life every summer on the Adriatic coast of Puglia, in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani. Born to celebrate the ninth art, the event has become one of the most anticipated pop culture gatherings in Puglia, drawing comic book fans, illustrators, cosplayers, and families to a stunning seaside setting.

A festival spread across the port area

For a few days, the tourist port area fills with publisher stands, artist booths, exhibition spaces, workshops, and stages. Visitors can attend author meet-and-greets, live drawing sessions, book and graphic novel presentations, as well as enjoy costume parades and gaming sessions. The format blends high-quality comic art with the playful, participatory spirit typical of major conventions.

What to expect

  • Exhibitions and live drawing with Italian and international comic artists and illustrators;
  • Talks and meet-and-greets with special guests, focusing on comics, pop culture, and current events;
  • Cosplay parades and contests open to all enthusiasts;
  • Board games and role-playing games, with tournaments and demo sessions;
  • Concerts and evening activities that keep the port buzzing until late;
  • Workshops and activities designed for children and families.

A free, seaside event

One of the hallmarks of BiComix is its free admission: the festival is designed as a celebration open to the city and its visitors, with hours running from the afternoon until midnight, when the evening breeze makes strolling between the stands a delight. The choice of the Tourist Port gives the event a unique identity, distinct from traditional exhibition halls: here, comics meet the marine landscape of Bisceglie.

Organization and local roots

BiComix is organized by the Urca Association with the support of the Municipality of Bisceglie and the patronage of the Puglia Region and the BAT Province, alongside local partners like Bisceglie Approdi and city cultural organizations. Over the years, the festival has grown to embrace an international dimension, hosting prominent authors and tackling current issues through the language of comics.

Bisceglie and the surrounding area

Located between Trani and Molfetta, Bisceglie is one of the most vibrant towns on the Apulian coast, boasting an old town, a picturesque port, and beautiful beaches. Attending BiComix is also the perfect opportunity to discover the city and Puglia in summer, enjoying a mix of culture, sea, and local food and wine.

BiComix — edition 2026

The seventh edition of BiComix is scheduled from August 21 to 23, 2026, at the Bisceglie Tourist Port, with free admission as always. The full program, including meet-and-greets, exhibitions, cosplay parades, and games, will be unveiled by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event.
