The premier fine art and antiques fair at Palazzo Corsini, Florence
The BIAF - Florence International Antiques Biennale is the landmark event for collectors, museums, and fine art enthusiasts from around the globe. Established in 1959, it stands today as one of the world's most significant antiques exhibitions and a source of pride for Florence, the capital of Tuscany and the historic cradle of Italian art.
Its most striking feature makes it truly unique: BIAF is the only major art fair hosted entirely within a single historic building, the splendid Palazzo Corsini on the Arno, one of the most beautiful Baroque residences in Florence. Walking through its frescoed halls, including the famous Throne Room and the monumental staircase, while admiring masterpieces for sale, is an experience unmatched by any other event in the industry.
Participating galleries, selected from the most authoritative names on the Italian and international scene, offer works of the highest caliber: Old Master and 19th-century paintings, sculptures, period furniture, tapestries, silverware, ceramics, drawings, and decorative arts, with occasional forays into modern and contemporary art. All exhibited works undergo a strict vetting processโa verification of authenticity, quality, and condition conducted by a committee of dozens of international expertsโproviding a guarantee that makes BIAF a benchmark for secure acquisitions.
BIAF serves as a meeting point for private collectors, directors, and curators from the world's great museums. Recent editions have welcomed delegations from the Getty Museum, the Uffizi Galleries, and the National Gallery in London, alongside historic firms like Colnaghi, Agnews, and Italian galleries present since the very first edition in 1959. The event is part of the broader Florence Art Week, a week that transforms Florence into an art capital with exhibitions, conferences, and events spread throughout the city.
During the Biennale, prestigious awards are presented for the best painting, sculpture, and decorative art object on display, in addition to the renowned Lorenzo il Magnifico Award, conferred upon distinguished cultural figures. The program also includes a dense schedule of lectures and presentations with art historians and international experts, hosted in the rooms of Palazzo Corsini.
The 34th edition takes place in Florence, in the heart of the city along the Arno, from September 26 to October 4, 2026, with a preview reserved for collectors and VIPs on Friday, September 25. An unmissable opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of fine art in the place that, more than any other, embodies its spirit.
The 34th Florence International Antiques Biennale returns to Palazzo Corsini on the Arno from September 26 to October 4, 2026. Under the leadership of Secretary General Bruno Botticelli, appointed in 2025, the event confirms its formula of excellence: the most important Italian and international galleries exhibit selected fine art works, all subject to vetting, within the unique setting of a historic Florentine palace. The Biennale is part of the Florence Art Week and features a rich program of conferences and meetings.
The list of participating galleries, the full program of conferences in the Throne Room, and the collateral events of the Florence Art Week will be officially announced in the months preceding the event. Updates on the official website www.biaf.it.
