Edition 2024 — BIAF
The 33rd edition of the Florence International Antiques Biennale, hosted as always at Palazzo Corsini, recorded record numbers with over 28,000 visitors and an international presence up 15% compared to the 2022 edition. The 80 galleries present, both Italian and foreign, offered a top-tier selection, with particular interest in 19th-century painting and fine art.
The works were validated by a vetting committee composed of 55 experts in painting, sculpture, ceramics, furniture, drawings, and silverware. The award for the best painting went to the Card Players by Giacomo Ceruti (Matteo Salamon Gallery), while the Golden Lorenzo Award was conferred upon director Liliana Cavani. During the fair, 24 conferences were held in the Throne Room, with sales ranging between 6,000 and 340,000 euros.
