Every year, on the night of August 10th, the village of Bertinoro, in the Province of Forlì-Cesena, celebrates the night of Saint Lawrence with BERTinLOVE, an event that combines music, romance, and sky observation. Overlooking the Romagna plain, the town nicknamed the Balcony of Romagna becomes the perfect setting for the night of shooting stars, when you look up at the Perseids and make a wish.
The Village of Wishes
BERTinLOVE is linked to the circuit of I Borghi più Belli d'Italia (The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy), which for the occasion transforms Bertinoro into the Village of Wishes. Strolling through the streets of the historic center, visitors are invited to write and make a wish, thus participating in the playful and dreamy atmosphere that characterizes the evening. It's a way to experience the village differently, amidst soft lights, panoramic views, and the charm of the Saint Lawrence tradition.
Music and stars on the Balcony of Romagna
The heart of the evening is the concert in Piazza della Libertà, where live music accompanies the audience on a sonic journey of emotions, featuring famous songs and intimate atmospheres. Simultaneously, at the Rocca di Bertinoro, in the evocative Dante's Belvedere, enthusiasts can dedicate themselves to guided astronomical observation, learning to recognize stars and planets with the help of local astronomers.
A village to discover
BERTinLOVE is also an opportunity to discover Bertinoro and its tradition linked to hospitality and wine: the village is famous for its Colonna delle Anella (Column of Rings), an ancient symbol of welcome, and for the vineyards surrounding the hill. Walking through the historic center on the night of Saint Lawrence, amidst music and a starry sky, is an experience that tells the gentler soul of Emilia-Romagna and this corner of Romagna.

The night of Saint Lawrence returns to Bertinoro on Monday, August 10, 2026, with a new edition of BERTinLOVE. As tradition dictates, the village transforms into the Village of Wishes in collaboration with I Borghi più Belli d'Italia, featuring music, romance, and a starry sky.
The evening includes a concert in Piazza della Libertà and astronomical observation at the Rocca di Bertinoro, in Dante's Belvedere, with the support of astronomers to identify stars and planets. Free admission is expected, and in past editions, a free shuttle service was provided from the parking areas.
The detailed musical program for the 2026 edition, including guest artists, will be announced by the Municipality of Bertinoro in the weeks leading up to the event.

By car: from the A14 motorway, exit at Forlì or Cesena, then provincial roads towards Bertinoro. Past editions have included a free shuttle service from the parking lots below the historic center. By train: Forlì or Cesena station, then bus connections.
