Craft Beer and Solidarity at Bosco Albergati

BeerQuake is one of the most anticipated events of spring in Modena: a festival entirely dedicated to craft beer held in the green area of Bosco Albergati, on Via Lavichielle in Castelfranco Emilia, in the province of Modena, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. What started in 2012 as a small party among friends has become a reference event for quality beer enthusiasts over the years, capable of attracting thousands of visitors from all over the region.

Over 100 Beers on Tap

The heart of BeerQuake is the beer selection: more than 100 craft labels, Italian and international, carefully chosen and served on tap. From the productions of Emilian microbreweries to international offerings, the festival offers a tasting journey designed for both connoisseurs and those who want to discover the world of craft beer. To accompany the pints, there is also a gastronomic offer, entrusted to the American-style barbecue of Burros BBQ — with pulled pork, ribs, and grilled meats — alongside traditional Emilian dishes.

Live Music and Much More

BeerQuake is not just about beer: every evening features free live concerts and DJ sets, with a program ranging from rock to punk to ska. Among the bands that have animated the festival stages are groups like Gli Atroci, Redneck Redemption, and The Troublemakers, alongside musical selections until late at night. For families and younger visitors, there are also dedicated spaces for board games and the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.

Drinking for a Good Cause

What makes BeerQuake truly special is its spirit of solidarity: all proceeds from the event are donated to charity. Organized by a group of volunteers, since 2012 the festival has raised and donated over €150,000 to local associations and projects, including AVIS Castelfranco Emilia, Emergency Modena, and the local Civil Protection. Participating in BeerQuake means enjoying good beer and, at the same time, concretely supporting the community of Castelfranco Emilia.

A Spring Appointment

Held annually in May, BeerQuake is now a classic on the event calendar for Castelfranco Emilia and the province of Modena. Admission is free, as is parking, and the formula with a collectible glass and tokens makes the tasting experience simple and accessible to everyone.
