A celebration of beer and rock at the foot of Mount Etna

The Beer Festival & FestivalRock brings summer to life every year in Motta Sant'Anastasia, a charming medieval village perched on a volcanic neck in the province of Catania, Sicily. The event takes place in Piazza Mercato, in the heart of the town, turning the city center into a lively meeting point where live music, tastings, and conviviality go hand in hand.

Craft beer and Sicilian gastronomy

The heart of the festival is craft beer, offered by local and national breweries across numerous taps. Alongside the beer stands, you will find food stalls serving typical Sicilian dishes and street food specialties, perfect for pairing every pint with the flavors of the region. Local products are also featured, highlighting the culinary excellence of the Etna area.

The FestivalRock

The musical section, FestivalRock, is entirely dedicated to live rock music. The stage in Piazza Mercato hosts a rotation of tribute bands, emerging local groups, and acts ranging from 80s pop-rock to hard rock. Past editions have featured a Teens Rock Contest for young local bands and themed nights with tribute acts, foam parties, and entertainment that have made the festival a go-to destination for younger audiences.

A popular and family-friendly event

Organized by the Sbandieratori Rione Giovani Maestri, the Beer Festival & FestivalRock is a free event open to all, designed to bring together the community of Motta Sant'Anastasia and visitors from neighboring towns. The evenings, which generally kick off after 8:00 PM, offer a festive atmosphere filled with music, great beer, and plenty of fun under the Sicilian summer sky.
