About Basilicata CONI Sport
Sport that unites Basilicata
Sport as a driver of promotion, development, and cohesion for an entire region: this is the idea behind Basilicata CONI Sport, the ambitious regional project that from June to November 2026 schedules fourteen major events spread across the Lucanian territory. A travelling calendar intended to strengthen the link between competitive activity and the places, transforming competitions into opportunities for collective growth.
Starting from Potenza with kickboxing
The regional capital, Potenza, has the honour of hosting the first stage: on June 6, 2026, the protagonist is the Italian Kickboxing Muay Thai Federation (FIKBMS), with an event dedicated to combat sports that officially launches the program. From here, a journey will begin that, until the end of November, will touch upon numerous disciplines – from kickboxing to the winter sports of the final stage.
A program spread throughout the region
The project, presented in Potenza by CONI Basilicata, includes dozens of sports disciplines spread across the region's municipalities. Supported by the regional institutions of Basilicata and the Municipality of Potenza, Basilicata CONI Sport aims to promote grassroots and elite sports as a tool for regional animation and local community participation.
Basilicata CONI Sport — edition 2026
In Potenza, Basilicata CONI Sport kicks off on June 6, 2026, with a first stage entrusted to the Italian Kickboxing Muay Thai Federation. The event opens a calendar of 14 major appointments that, until November, will bring sport to numerous municipalities in the region, with the final stage dedicated to winter sports.

- June 6, Potenza — First stage: kickboxing and muay thai with the Italian Kickboxing Muay Thai Federation (FIKBMS).
- June to November — 14 major sports events spread across the municipalities of Basilicata, featuring dozens of disciplines.
- End of November — Final stage with the Italian Winter Sports Federation.
The complete calendar of intermediate stages and disciplines will be announced progressively by CONI Basilicata.
