About Baroque Music Festival

Between January and February, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra brings great Baroque music to the ancient Oratory of Santa Brigida, in the medieval heart of the Pigna district. A series of concerts, often sold out, rediscover the masterpieces of Scarlatti, Handel, Vivaldi, and the masters of the 18th century, in a setting of extraordinary charm. A quality event that showcases the cultured and refined side of Sanremo, beyond the song festival.

The Baroque in the Pigna

The Baroque Music Festival is the series that the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra dedicates to the 17th and 18th-century repertoire. The concerts are held in the former Oratory of Santa Brigida, in the heart of the Pigna, the medieval village of Sanremo (province of Imperia), a space of great charm and intimate acoustics, with some events also held in other locations on the Riviera di Ponente.

A Quality Program

Directed by Maestro Giancarlo De Lorenzo, the festival features a series of concerts that rediscover the masterpieces of Baroque music, with guest soloists and voices. The public's success is evidenced by the numerous sold-out concerts in recent editions, a sign of appreciation for the quality of the city's Symphony Orchestra.

Sanremo, City of Cultured Music

With the Baroque Music Festival, Sanremo reveals its most cultured and refined side, far from the television spotlight of the Song Festival. It's an opportunity to discover the Pigna, the charming medieval historic center, and to experience the city through great classical music, at affordable prices.
