Xmas Village, Natale Insieme, and La Baia del Grinch across Fusaro, Baia, and the historic center
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Every December, Bacoli—overlooking the Gulf of Pozzuoli in the heart of the Phlegraean Fields—lights up for the holidays with a rich Christmas program promoted by the local municipality. Under the Christmas in Bacoli brand, the town in the province of Naples offers over forty events, including markets, artistic lights, concerts, exhibitions, and shows spread across Lake Fusaro, the village of Baia, Capo Miseno, and the historic center. The atmosphere is that of a widespread festive village, where every neighborhood has its own corner of Christmas magic.
The calendar revolves around three main hubs, each with its own identity:
Beyond the markets, Christmas in Bacoli is told through the artistic lights that illuminate the enchanted gardens of the Parco Borbonico del Fusaro and the Villa Comunale, with themed displays that change every year. Local churches host a long series of classical and sacred music concerts, while living nativity scenes and flash mobs come to life in the neighborhoods. There is no shortage of art exhibitions in historic venues like the Casina Vanvitelliana and the Palazzo dell'Ostrichina, architectural jewels that provide a stunning backdrop for the festivities.
The program is designed for all ages: the ice rink, elf workshops, letter collection, and photos with Santa Claus and the Befana make the event particularly beloved by children. Almost all events are free to enter, in the spirit of a shared celebration open to both the community and visitors.
Visiting the markets is also an opportunity to discover one of the most fascinating territories in Campania. Bacoli holds treasures such as the Casina Vanvitelliana on Lake Fusaro, the Piscina Mirabilis, the Castello di Baia, and Capo Miseno, in a landscape where archaeology, nature, and tradition intertwine. Christmas thus becomes an invitation to experience the Phlegraean Fields even in winter, amidst lights, music, and local gastronomic flavors.
The Christmas in Bacoli program is a recurring event that transforms the city into a sprawling festive village every December. For the 2026 edition, we are awaiting the publication of the official program by the Municipality of Bacoli, which will include definitive dates, times, and locations for the markets and side events.
By train: Take the Cumana (Circumflegrea) line to the Fusaro or Baia stations, just a short walk from the markets. By car: From the Naples Tangenziale, take the Pozzuoli/Arco Felice exit, then follow signs for Bacoli-Fusaro. Parking is available near the Parco Borbonico del Fusaro.
Free admission to markets and events. The Xmas Village in Piazza Rossini is open from the afternoon until the evening on weekdays, and all day on weekends and holidays.
