The comedy by Compagnia Teatrale Fubinese in Cabella Ligure
The Bacio Bacio Micio Micio theatrical performance is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Cabella Ligure, a small town in the Val Borbera in the province of Alessandria, in the extreme south-eastern corner of Piedmont. The evening, scheduled for July 18, 2026, features one of the most acclaimed comedies by the Compagnia Teatrale Fubinese, an amateur group from the Monferrato area that has been touring theaters and squares in the region with its brilliant repertoire for years.
"Bacio Bacio Micio Micio" is a comedy written and directed by Massimo Brusasco, the company's author and director. The story revolves around the disappearance of a cat left in someone's care, an event that disrupts the plans of Lucia, her husband Claudio, and their shy neighbor Beniamino. Between nuns, cat food, unrequited love, telemarketing calls, and cups of tea, the show builds a whirlwind of misunderstandings and hilarious situations, with that vein of introspection that characterizes Brusasco's theater. On stage, a close-knit group of performers brings to life lively and relatable characters.
The Cabella edition of the show has a meaning that goes beyond pure entertainment: the evening includes the presentation of a project dedicated to feline colonies, in line with the feline theme of the comedy. Theater and charitable commitment thus intertwine in a single evening, designed to engage audiences of all ages and raise community awareness.
The event is part of the official Cabella Estate calendar, the summer festival promoted by the Municipality of Cabella Ligure that enlivens the village with theater, music, markets, food and wine walks, and traditional festivals. Cabella is located in the heart of the Four Provinces area (Alessandria, Genoa, Pavia, and Piacenza), a border region with a strong cultural and musical identity, famous for the sound of the piffero (traditional oboe) and the accordion. Attending a theater evening here also means discovering an authentic and little-known corner of the Apennine Piedmont.
As is tradition for the Cabella summer program, the show is free and open to everyone. A simple, high-quality opportunity to spend a summer evening filled with comedy and conviviality, immersed in the peaceful atmosphere of the Val Borbera.
The 2026 edition of the show takes place in Cabella Ligure on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 9:00 PM, as part of the Cabella Estate 2026 program promoted by the Municipality. Starring the Compagnia Teatrale Fubinese with the comedy "Bacio Bacio Micio Micio", written by Massimo Brusasco. The evening combines entertainment and solidarity thanks to the presentation of a project in support of feline colonies.
