The autumn food and wine festival in San Pietro Clarenza, at the foot of Mount Etna
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Autumn Flavours Festival is the late-summer highlight in San Pietro Clarenza, a town of just over seven thousand inhabitants nestled on the slopes of Mount Etna, in the Metropolitan City of Catania. For three consecutive evenings, usually in September, the town centre transforms into a large gastronomic village: exhibition stands, tastings of typical products, street food, craft stalls, and a large funfair welcome visitors from across the Etna region.
The common thread is the rediscovery of the scents and flavours of the Sicilian autumn. Among the stalls, you will find typical local products, from confectionery specialties to preserves, accompanied by tastings curated by the Pro Loco. The gastronomic experience is intertwined with music and folklore: every evening, concerts and live shows take place on the stage set up for the occasion, drawing families and curious visitors late into the night.
Reaching its fourth edition in 2025, the event is promoted by the Municipality of San Pietro Clarenza in collaboration with the Pro Loco and has established itself as one of the most cherished events in the local calendar. Editions have been held between Piazza della Vittoria, the heart of the town, and Via Risorgimento, depending on the year. For the public, it is an opportunity to experience the atmosphere of an authentic village festival in the province of Catania, Sicily, where food, wine, crafts, and entertainment merge into one great community celebration.
The dates for the 2026 edition of the Autumn Flavours Festival have not yet been announced. Based on previous editions, the event is expected to be held in September in San Pietro Clarenza (CT), with the usual programme of typical product tastings, street food, handicrafts, and live concerts. The detailed programme will be published by the organizers, the Municipality and the Pro Loco of San Pietro Clarenza, in the weeks leading up to the event.
