Messina's first international electronic music festival, held at the Arena Capo Peloro in Torre Faro
Atarashi Goes to Sicily marks the debut of a major electronic music festival in the Municipality of Messina, Sicily. Announced in March 2026 by the municipal administration, the event is the city's first international gathering of its kind, aiming to place Messina on the map of major Mediterranean electronic music circuits by blending musical quality with landscape enhancement.
The festival takes place at the Arena Capo Peloro, set up in the former Sea Flight spaces on Via Fortino in Torre Faro, at the northeastern tip of Sicily. It is one of the city's most evocative spots: the dance floor looks directly out over the Strait of Messina, with Calabria in the background, making the sunset over the sea an integral part of the show. The area, which has undergone urban redevelopment, is thus returned to the city as a space for culture and entertainment.
The 2026 program centers on a highly anticipated back-to-back set between Marco Carola and Seth Troxler, two of the most recognizable names in international techno and house. Also on stage is Max Dean, fresh from his experience at Coachella 2026, alongside II Faces and Matteo Diop, representing the local scene. Organizers describe this as the largest event ever produced by the Atarashi project, featuring about eight hours of continuous music from the afternoon until 1:00 AM.
More than just a concert, Atarashi Goes to Sicily is conceived as an experience that links music to the territory of the Province of Messina. Capo Peloro, the meeting point between the Tyrrhenian and Ionian Seas, offers a unique natural backdrop. The festival aims to combine tourism, youth culture, and Mediterranean identity, contributing to the international promotion of the Sicilian city.
The first edition of the festival is held on August 2nd and 3rd, 2026, at the Arena Capo Peloro (formerly Sea Flight), on Via Fortino in Torre Faro, Messina. Gates open at 4:00 PM, sets begin around 4:30 PM and continue until 1:00 AM, for a long marathon of electronic music at sunset over the Strait.
The highlight is the back-to-back set between Marco Carola and Seth Troxler; the line-up is completed by Max Dean, fresh from Coachella 2026, II Faces, and Matteo Diop. Tickets are available on the TicketSms network starting from approximately 26.50 euros, with admission restricted to adults (18+).

The Arena Capo Peloro is located on Via Fortino, in the village of Torre Faro, at the northern end of Messina. By car, it can be reached from the city center along the coastal road (approx. 12 km); the use of public transport and shuttle services is recommended due to the expected crowds. Messina is connected by ferry to Villa San Giovanni and Reggio Calabria, and features a train station and motorway connections (A20 and A18).
Tickets are on sale via the TicketSms network starting from approximately 26.50 euros. Admission is restricted to adults (18+). Advance purchase is recommended due to the limited capacity of the arena.
This is an outdoor evening event by the sea: bring appropriate clothing for the evening. Accommodation is available in Messina city and along the coast of Torre Faro and Ganzirri.
