The grand review of choirs and folkloric groups from the Aosta Valley
The Assembly of Choirs and Folkloric Groups of Aosta Valley is the main regional review dedicated to choral music and folklore of the Aosta Valley. Organized by the associations A.R.Co.Va. and Nos Racines, it brings together dozens of choirs and folkloric groups from all over the region in Aosta every year, in an event that is both a popular festival and a moment of high musical value.
The concerts take place in two symbolic locations in the Aosta Valley capital: the Collegiate Church of Saints Peter and Orso, a jewel of sacred and Romanesque art, and the Splendor Theatre. The evenings alternate sacred polyphony in the setting of the Collegiate Church with concerts by adult choirs and folkloric groups at the theatre, with an opening usually entrusted to an international guest.
The review involves children's and school choirs, youth choirs, vocal ensembles, adult choirs, and folkloric groups in traditional costume: a mosaic that tells the identity of a bilingual region and the deep bond between its communities and singing. Admission is free, emphasizing the popular and participatory nature of the event, which is part of the broader 'Printemps en Musique' program.
The 74th edition of the Assembly of Choirs and Folkloric Groups of Aosta Valley is held from May 22 to 31, 2026, with the main part in Aosta and the closing day in Fénis. Participating are 9 children's and school choirs, 1 youth choir, 2 vocal ensembles, 23 adult choirs, and 12 folkloric groups.
The artistic direction is entrusted to Efisio Blanc; the jury includes Loreta Pinna, Francesco Grigolo, and Luigi Leo. The opening, on May 22, is entrusted to the French vocal ensemble InChorus, founded in 2018 and directed by Pascal Adoumbou. Free admission to all events.
