A day of art, painting, and music on the Martinsicuro seafront
Every summer, the Rotonda Las Palmas, overlooking the promenade in Martinsicuro (Teramo province), transforms into the Art Village: a free evening where the seaside square becomes a true open-air gallery. Organized by the Sinestesia Cultural Association with the patronage of the City of Martinsicuro, the Province of Teramo, and the Abruzzo Region, the event brings together visual arts, participatory painting, and live music in a day designed for both residents and tourists.
The heart of the event is the "Art in the Street" exhibition, created in collaboration with the A&A Pascal art gallery. Adults and children can unleash their creativity through painting, with canvases and materials provided free of charge: an open-air workshop that invites everyone to leave their mark on the seafront. Surrounding the painting areas are exhibitions by local artists, who display their works, turning the rotunda into an informal exhibition space accessible to all.
The Art Village is more than just painting: the evening also features a mini chess tournament, a chance for play and socializing under the summer sky, and concludes with a live concert performed by students and teachers from the L.A.M. School of Music (Laboratorio di Artigianato Musicale), a partner of the event since its inception. Admission is always free, and the simple, convivial atmosphere makes it one of the most anticipated cultural events of the Martinsicuro summer.
Located at the far north of the Abruzzo coast, bordering the Marche region and overlooking the Adriatic, Martinsicuro is a lively seaside resort in the Province of Teramo. The Art Village is part of a summer calendar rich in cultural initiatives that bring the seafront and the Rotonda Las Palmasโthe city's iconic event venueโto life. It is an evening to be enjoyed while strolling among canvases, colors, and music, with the sea as a backdrop.
