Street performers, circus acts, and wandering musicians in the historic center of Arce
The Arce Buskers Festival is the annual summer event that turns the historic center of Arce, a town in the province of Frosinone in the Lazio region, into a grand open-air stage. The alleys, squares, and stairways of this Ciociaria village become the natural backdrop for street performers, creating a festive atmosphere in the lead-up to Ferragosto.
In 2026, the festival celebrates its fifth edition and takes a significant step forward: for the first time, it expands to two nights, taking place on Thursday, August 13th, and Friday, August 14th, 2026. From 7:30 PM until midnight, Piazza and Corso Umberto I fill with crowds and non-stop performances.
The program is dedicated to the world of busking and contemporary circus. Along the streets of the center, you will encounter:
The artistic direction is led by Lucia Mattei and the Teatro della Luna Association, who curate the selection of artists and the setup of the various performance spots throughout the village.
Admission is completely free of charge. The format, designed for both adults and children, makes the festival a perfect outing for the whole family: you can stroll freely from one spot to another, stopping to watch the shows that capture your attention the most.
The Buskers Festival is one of the highlights of Estate Arce, the summer calendar promoted by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Arce, which enlivens the town with music, tradition, and culture from mid-June to late September. Located between the Liri Valley and the hills of Ciociaria, Arce offers an intimate and charming historic center, the ideal setting for an evening of entertainment under the stars.
In 2026, the Arce Buskers Festival reaches its fifth edition and grows, moving from one to two nights of entertainment. On Thursday, August 13th, and Friday, August 14th, the historic center of Arce transforms into a sprawling theater of street art, from 7:30 PM until midnight. The artistic direction of Lucia Mattei and the Teatro della Luna Association offers street performers, contemporary circus, and roaming music along Piazza and Corso Umberto I, with free admission.
The fifth edition confirms the formula that made the festival popular and expands it over two nights. From 7:30 PM until midnight, the streets and squares of the center host street performers, contemporary circus acts, jugglers, tightrope walkers, street bands, and roaming performances. The detailed program with guest artists will be released by the organization in the days leading up to the event.
Arce is located in the province of Frosinone, in the Lazio region. By car, it can be reached via the A1 Milan-Naples motorway (Ceprano or Frosinone exits) and the Sora-Frosinone highway. The Arce train station is located on the Roccasecca-Avezzano line.
The shows take place in Piazza and Corso Umberto I from 7:30 PM until midnight. Admission is free.
We recommend reaching the center on foot and wearing comfortable shoes to navigate the alleys. On the evenings around Ferragosto, it is wise to arrive early to find parking in the areas near the historic center.
