Aprilia Summer: the city lights up under the stars

Aprilia Summer is the annual summer program that transforms the center of Aprilia, a populous town in the province of Latina in the heart of Lazio, into a vast open-air festival. From July 2 to August 27, 2026, the squares and streets of the center host a rich calendar of White Nights, Shopping Days, and film screenings designed for children, teenagers, families, adults, and local businesses. The events are spread across Piazza Roma, Via dei Lauri, Piazza Marconi, and Piazza delle Erbe, which become pedestrian zones animated until late at night on peak evenings.

Thursday White Nights and Shopping Days

The month of July is marked by Thursday White Nights, each with a different theme to engage all ages. It kicks off on July 2 with a family-focused evening: a craft, vintage, and antique market, a large street food area with food trucks, and a performance by the Circo Errani, featuring clowns, tightrope walkers, and acrobats in front of the Town Hall. Subsequent Thursdays feature the Shopping White Night with special promotions and evening openings, musical Shopping Days like "Back 90/2000" with DJ sets and 90s/2000s music, the Estrosa Floral Show with fashion and floral art, the "Baila con Migo" Caribbean dance night, and the Sports White Night, which brings local sports clubs to the center for free trials and demonstrations.

Cinema under the Stars

In August, the festival continues with Cinema under the Stars, the open-air summer arena offering a series of completely free screenings in Piazza delle Erbe. The program ranges from animated films to Italian comedies and major blockbusters, with a selection designed to satisfy the tastes of families, children, young people, and adults. There is also a socially conscious event, such as the evening organized in collaboration with the Red Cross, dedicated to sharing stories of solidarity through film.

A project by the Cuore Comico association

The event is organized by the Cuore Comico cultural association, led by president and artistic director Federico Paolini, in synergy with the Municipality of Aprilia and local businesses. The stated goal is to build a more vibrant, united, and participatory city, restoring that sense of community and togetherness that summer evenings can create. Each edition builds on the proven formula of previous years while adding new features to make the center of Aprilia a gathering point for the entire summer season.

A free event for the whole city

A key strength of Aprilia Summer is that it is free: all appointments, from the White Nights to the film screenings, are open to the public. With music, street performances, dance, markets, gastronomy, and cinema, the festival offers an opportunity to experience the center of Aprilia during summer evenings, enhancing the city squares and the local commercial fabric.
