The Assoprovider conference on digital connectivity in internal areas
In the hypogean spaces of Casa Cava, in the heart of the Sassi of Matera, APMAT26, the conference promoted by Assoprovider dedicated to the future of digital connectivity, will be held on June 5, 2026. The title, «Connecting where others don't reach. Proximity operators and digital development of internal areas», summarizes the meeting's mission: to bring attention to network infrastructure in marginal territories, where large operators often do not reach and where local operators play a decisive role.
The day, scheduled from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, addresses the most current issues in the sector: cybersecurity and the NIS2 Directive, network resilience, data protection, the use of artificial intelligence in infrastructure management, and the Single Patrimonial Fee. A technical agenda that speaks to the internal areas of the South and all territories at risk of exclusion from the digital transition.
Italian and European entities are participating in the discussion: the Honourable Enzo Amich of the Parliamentary Commission for Transport, Posts, and Telecommunications, the Spanish association AOTEC, and the European network ELFA, which brings together about 1,200 independent operators from 17 countries. The presence of industrial partners in the sector completes an event that places Matera at the center of the debate on the digital development of territories.
APMAT26 takes place in the year Matera is the Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue: a context that further highlights the theme of internal areas as a resource and not as a periphery.
