A summer evening of music, performances, and late-night shopping in the heart of Anzio
The Anzio White Night is the evening when the center of this Roman coastal town stays awake late to celebrate the summer. The main streets and squares of the historic center come alive with music, shows, and entertainment, while shops stay open until midnight: a perfect opportunity to go shopping, dine outdoors, and enjoy the sea breeze amidst a backdrop of lights and colors. The event is organized by the Municipality of Anzio, in the province of Rome, in the Lazio region, and is part of the city's rich summer calendar.
The heart of the event is the music playing throughout the streets of the center: bands, groups, and artists perform in multiple spots across the city, accompanied by roving performances that engage the public as they walk from one square to another. The atmosphere is that of a classic Italian 'notte bianca', where commerce, culture, and entertainment merge into one big city-wide celebration with free admission.
The White Night is part of the Summer 2026 - A Sea of Emotions program, the schedule with which the Municipality of Anzio enlivens the months of July, August, and September with about 150 events, including musical, cultural, sporting, and folk performances in the city's various squares. The White Night is among the most well-attended events, capable of drawing thousands of people to the center, including both local residents and vacationers.
Overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea south of Rome, Anzio is one of the most beloved seaside destinations on the Lazio coast, famous for its port, beaches, and rich historical heritage that dates back to the ancient Roman Antium. Experiencing the White Night also means discovering the city center in a festive guise, amidst illuminated shop windows, the aromas of local gastronomy, and the sea view that serves as a backdrop to the evening.
The Anzio White Night 2026 was held on Thursday, July 9 in the historic center of the city. For the occasion, the main streets were filled with music and roving performances, while shops remained open until midnight for late-night shopping. The event was promoted by the Municipality of Anzio as part of the summer program Summer 2026 - A Sea of Emotions, which brought about 150 events to the city between July and September.
The evening, with free admission, transformed the center into a large open-air party space, drawing residents and tourists to one of the liveliest nights of the Anzio summer.
