The Alpo Country Festival is the Western-themed festival that enlivens the hamlet of Alpo, in Villafranca di Verona, on the second weekend of September. For a few days, around the Noi Club, the atmosphere becomes that of the American prairies: country dance dancers in costume arrive from all over Northern Italy to perform, in a festive atmosphere that involves enthusiasts and the curious.
Dances, Horses, and American Cuisine
The program combines country dance shows, equestrian performances, the setup of an Indian camp, and the election of Mister and Miss Country Alpo. At the table, the food stalls offer specialties inspired by American cuisine, completing the immersion in the Far West imagery. It is a community-driven event, created by the local community.
A Community Tradition
Organized by the Alpo ACLI Club together with the Festival Committee, the Country Festival is held every year and represents one of the most characteristic events in the calendar of the Villafranca hamlets. Between music, dancing, and conviviality, it brings a piece of overseas folklore to the Veronese plain.

How to get there
Alpo is a hamlet of Villafranca di Verona, close to the border with the municipality of Verona. It is easily reached by car from the Verona ring road and from the A4 and A22 motorways. The festival takes place at the Noi Club in Alpo.
