Agriculture returns to the heart of Varese
Agrivarese is the event that every spring brings the agricultural world into the city center, in the green settings of the Estensi Gardens and the park of Villa Mirabello. Promoted by the Municipality of Varese, the exhibition showcases the territory's farms and their work, in an occasion designed to bring producers and consumers closer together based on the true zero-kilometer logic.
Territorial excellences on display
The exhibition route brings together dozens of stands, largely from farms in the province of Varese: from honey to dairy products, from cured meats to wines and craft beers, up to seasonal fruit and vegetables. A complete showcase of local agri-food chains, where you can taste and buy directly from the producer.
An event for all ages
Agrivarese is above all a day of celebration for families: close encounters with farm animals, the baptism of the saddle with ponies, immersive areas, and interactive workshops. There are also gastronomic moments, such as the tasting of polenta prepared by the Alpini and baked goods from the Bakers' Association. The event attracts thousands of visitors every year, confirming how alive the relationship between Varese and its countryside still is.
Agrivarese — edition 2026
The 11th edition of Agrivarese takes place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Estensi Gardens and in the park of Villa Mirabello, in Varese. This edition has been presented as the richest ever, with a total of 40 stands, including 32 farms from the area.
Along the route, you can taste and buy typical products — honey, cheeses, cured meats, wines, craft beers, and seasonal fruit and vegetables — while for families and children, there are encounters with animals, the baptism of the saddle with ponies, and an immersive area dedicated to butterflies in flight. The Municipality has also announced a second autumn edition, in a traveling format throughout the territory.

- From 9:30 AM — opening of the stands at the Estensi Gardens and in the park of Villa Mirabello
- 40 exhibition stands, including 32 local farms with typical products to taste and buy

- Workshops and interactive activities for visitors of all ages
An autumn edition of Agrivarese in a traveling format is also planned.

Where
The Estensi Gardens and the park of Villa Mirabello are located in the center of Varese, a short walk from Palazzo Estense.
How to get there
Varese is connected by train to Milan (Trenord, Varese and Varese Nord stations) and by car via the A8 motorway. The gardens are within walking distance of the center.
Admission
Access to the event is free. The event runs from 9:30 AM.
