Mola di Bari's summer music scene featuring jazz, singer-songwriters, classical, and international pop
The AgìmusFestival is the music event that brings Mola di Bari to life every summer, a coastal town in the Metropolitan City of Bari, Puglia. Promoted by the Associazione Giovanni Padovano (AGÌMUS) under the artistic direction of Piero Rotolo, the festival has made the dialogue between musical genres its hallmark, alternating jazz, singer-songwriter music, classical, opera, and international pop in a single summer program.
The charm of the AgìmusFestival also stems from its venues, all located in the historic heart of Mola. The intimate Chiostro di Santa Chiara hosts the most personal concerts, while the Arena Castello, in the shadow of the ancient Angevin-Aragonese fortress overlooking the port, welcomes large-scale events and opera productions. These are complemented by the famous sunrise concert on the Lungomare Dalmazia, an iconic appointment that invites the audience to listen to music as the sun rises over the Adriatic.
The AgìmusFestival program spans different sonic worlds: from jazz and great Italian singer-songwriters to classical and baroque music, and open-air opera, without forgetting world music influences and international pop. The festival builds each edition around a theme, with the ambition of bringing the public and artists together in a dimension that is both popular and refined.
Part of the circuit of Puglian music festivals, the AgìmusFestival has become a reference point over the years for the cultural summer of the Bari area, attracting spectators to Mola di Bari from across the region and beyond. The combination of quality programming, historic locations, and the seaside setting makes it one of the most characteristic musical experiences on the Puglian Adriatic coast.
The 2026 edition of the AgìmusFestival runs from June 7 to August 19 in Mola di Bari with nine events hosted between the Chiostro di Santa Chiara, the Arena Castello, and the Lungomare Dalmazia. The theme chosen this year is «We Are Coming: United by Arts», an invitation to encounter different languages and cultures through music.
The program brings together major names from the Italian and international scene: from jazz and British pop to classical music and open-air opera.
Mola di Bari is easily reached by train along the Adriatic line (Mola di Bari station) and by car via the SS16 Adriatica. The nearest airport is Bari-Palese Karol Wojtyła, about 40 km away.
Concert tickets are available through the Vivaticket network and authorized sales points. For information, you can contact the Associazione Giovanni Padovano.
For the sunrise concert on the Lungomare Dalmazia, it is recommended to arrive well in advance. The historic center is ideal for an evening stroll between events.
