Advent Al Plan, Christmas at the foot of the Dolomites

Advent Al Plan is the Advent market in San Vigilio di Marebbe — known as Al Plan de Mareo in the local Ladin language — located in the municipality of Marebbe/Enneberg, in the province of Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige. On the weekends of December, the main square transforms into a small Christmas village, where wooden stalls, illuminated at dusk, invite visitors to wander through the lights, scents, and flavors of the mountains.

Compared to the larger markets in the cities of South Tyrol, Advent Al Plan is among the most intimate and authentic in the Plan de Corones area: its compact size is precisely what makes it so charming. Open on weekends and during the days between Christmas and New Year's Eve, the market is especially evocative when snow covers the town center, and you can warm yourself by the fire while sipping a hot drink as children play among the stalls.
