The festival that opens the Adrano summer

Every year, the Sports Festival officially kicks off the Adrano d'Estate calendar, the season of events promoted by the Municipality of Adrano, in the province of Catania, at the foot of Mount Etna. For a few days, the Villa Comunale on Via Aurelio Spampinato fills with music, color, and energy: it is the moment when local sports clubs take the stage to showcase the work done throughout the year, in a festive atmosphere designed for the entire community.

Exhibitions and showcases for all disciplines

The program is built around sports exhibitions and showcases by local groups: from dance schools to gyms, from martial arts academies to gymnastics clubs. Over the course of the evenings, you can admire demonstrations of karate, street gym, martial arts, group dances, Latin American performances, ballroom dancing, and activities involving athletes of all ages, from schoolchildren to the most experienced sports enthusiasts. The event also hosts athletes and guests of national renown, who join the local Adrano associations to enrich the program.

Sport as a community celebration

More than just a competition, the Sports Festival is a community celebration: the goal stated by the Municipal Administration is to promote sports as a moment of integration, socialization, education in self-respect and respect for others, and individual well-being. The Villa Comunale, a green lung in the center of Adrano, thus becomes a meeting place for families, young people, and enthusiasts, with completely free access.

The link with Adrano d'Estate

The Sports Festival is not an isolated event: it represents the first chapter of Adrano d'Estate, the long series of appointments that accompanies citizens and visitors throughout the summer, with concerts, shows, culture, and entertainment in the historic center.
