A community Christmas at the foot of Mount Etna
"A Christmas for Everyone" is the Christmas festival that the Municipality of Ragalna dedicates every year to its citizens and visitors. Ragalna is a small town in the Metropolitan City of Catania, in Sicily, nestled on the southwestern slopes of Mount Etna: a location that gives the holiday season a unique atmosphere, between the scent of burning wood and the lights illuminating the town center.
A program for all ages
The program spans several weeks, from mid-December to Epiphany, offering a packed schedule of events spread across the Teatro Palmento Arena, the Palmento Arena Gardens, the squares, and municipal facilities. Theater, concerts, children's workshops, family cinema, and traveling shows alternate to offer everyone the chance to experience the magic of Christmas in a spirit of sharing.
- Theater and storytelling - Christmas-themed performances, including Charles Dickens' famous A Christmas Carol.
- Music - Christmas concerts, choirs, and musical moments in the squares.
- Living Nativity - one of the most cherished traditions, featuring actors and traditional crafts in the village alleys.

Alongside the performances, "A Christmas for Everyone" maintains a strong social vocation: the traditional social lunch for seniors over 65 closes the calendar, highlighting the community spirit that drives the event. The initiatives involve local associations, the Ragalna church community, and numerous volunteers, in a blend of faith, folk traditions, and culture typical of the villages around Mount Etna.

A Christmas for Everyone — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of "A Christmas for Everyone" has not yet been officially scheduled by the Municipality of Ragalna. Based on previous editions, the event is expected to return during the Christmas holiday period, roughly from mid-December until Epiphany, with events spread between the Teatro Palmento Arena and the central squares. How to get there
Ragalna is located on the southwestern slopes of Mount Etna, in the province of Catania. By car, it can be reached from Catania by heading towards Paternò and Nicolosi. The reference airport and train station are those of Catania.
