Acquasale Fredda Festival

The 2025 Acquasale Fredda Festival was held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 8:30 PM, along Corso Matino, at the Monte Saraceno Belvedere in Mattinata (FG). The event, organized by the Mattinata AVIS, was part of the program for the fifth edition of MattinataèXtraordinaria – Summer 2025, the festival that accompanies the Gargano summer with events featuring art, music, flavors, and stories.

The highlight of the evening was the tasting of cold acquasale (cialledda), a humble dish of the Apulian peasant tradition made with stale bread, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, extra virgin olive oil, and salt. The event confirmed its dual value: the promotion of typical Gargano cuisine and raising awareness for blood donation, a cause dear to the organizing association.
