The ACDC International Juggling Convention in Bolsena

Every year, the ACDC International Juggling Convention changes its location across the Tuscia area, and in 2026 it arrives for the first time in Bolsena, a town overlooking the lake of the same name in the province of Viterbo, Lazio. From May 29 to June 2, 2026, the Sports Hall becomes the headquarters for jugglers and circus artists arriving from all over Italy and various countries for five days of training, exchange, and performance.

Five days of training and stage time

The convention, now in its fifth edition, is designed primarily for professionals and circus arts enthusiasts: workshops, free training sessions, and evening open stages enliven the days at the Sports Hall and surrounding areas. Artistic director Simone Romanò describes it as «a moment of encounter between professionals, enthusiasts, and the simply curious», where they can share experiences and refine their techniques.

Events open to the public

Several moments are designed for the residents of Bolsena and visitors, all with free admission. On Monday, June 1, at 9:30 PM, the Juggling Grand Gala brings the best artists present to the Sports Hall stage. On Tuesday, June 2, the historic center takes center stage: at 3:30 PM, the circus parade departs from Via della Pace and winds through the alleys to the Basilica of Santa Cristina, where the spectacular Juggler Olympics are held.

Also for families

On Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31, the Scuola Romana di Circo offers a small circus workshop for parents and children in the gardens of the Sports Hall area, an opportunity to playfully approach the circus arts.

A traveling event in Tuscia

ACDC is organized by the Il Circo Verde association, the same group that brought the ten editions of the Teverina Buskers to life. The traveling nature of the convention takes it to a different municipality in the Viterbo area each year: in 2026, it is Bolsena's turn—a pearl of Lazio and a tourist destination thanks to its large volcanic lake—to provide the setting for this international gathering of street arts and juggling.
