Accade a Natale a Spoleto is the festive programme that the Municipality of Spoleto (province of Perugia) offers every year, with about a hundred events spread from Advent until Epiphany. For weeks, the historic centre transforms into a widespread stage with lights, music, traditions, and family activities.
Markets, Ice Rink, and Santa Claus Village
Among the most popular attractions: the covered ice skating rink, Santa Claus Village in Piazza Pianciani, video mapping in Piazza della Libertà, the tree lighting in Piazza Garibaldi, and artisan markets like "Un NaT@LE che sia Tale". There's also a letterbox for Santa Claus, workshops for children, and the arrival of the Befana.
Nativity Scenes, Concerts, and the New Year's Eve Show
The programme includes numerous nativity scenes in the centre and in the hamlets, gospel and classical concerts, theatre performances at the Teatro Nuovo "Gian Carlo Menotti", and the grand New Year's Eve show in Piazza Duomo, one of the most anticipated events of the Spoleto festivities. Most of the events have free admission.

Accade a Natale a Spoleto 2026-2027
For Christmas 2026-2027, the Municipality of Spoleto will again present Accade a Natale a Spoleto, its programme of about a hundred events spread between December and Epiphany.
The programme will reprise the proven structure: artisan markets, Santa Claus Village, an ice skating rink, video mapping, nativity scenes in the centre and hamlets, concerts, theatre performances, and the grand New Year's Eve show in Piazza Duomo. Precise dates, times, and details will be communicated by the Municipality closer to the holidays.

How to get there
Spoleto is on the Rome-Ancona railway line; from the station, the historic centre is reachable via the mechanised pathways. By car: take the Spoleto exit from the SS3 Flaminia.
