The youth football summer camp signed Parma Calcio in the Parma Apennines
For the first time, the Academy Parma Calcio Summer Camp arrives in Bedonia, a municipality in the upper Val Ceno in the Province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna. The initiative brings the methodology of Parma Calcio 1913's youth sector to a mountain setting, combining sport with the discovery of the Apennine territory. The camp is aimed at boys and girls born between 2010 and 2020 and takes place on the town's two sports fields, "G. Gandi" in Largo Colombo and the "Breia" field in via Piave.
The project is not just a football experience. Each day is built around a human value — courage, creativity, determination, trust, collaboration — linked to specific technical objectives and game situations. The idea is to help young participants grow as both footballers and individuals, in a serene and welcoming environment. Training sessions are overseen by the Academy's technical staff, who guide the youngsters in improving their fundamentals and understanding the game.
Alongside field work, the camp offers evening tournaments open to spectators — a festive occasion for families and the entire town — and a weekly day dedicated to excursions in the surrounding area, exploring the natural landscapes of the Apennines around Bedonia. For those choosing the overnight option, accommodation is provided in the former Seminario Vescovile (Bishop's Seminary) in Bedonia, a historic building that becomes the camp's "home" for an even more immersive experience of sharing and friendship.
The Bedonia Summer Camp is the result of a collaboration between the Academy Parma Calcio, the Cooperativa Gran Ducato, the Municipality of Bedonia, and ASD Bedoniese United. It's an example of how a major football club can bring its expertise to small inland towns, offering young people from Val Ceno and the surrounding areas the chance to experience a summer of sport and togetherness.
The first edition of the Academy Parma Calcio Summer Camp in Bedonia takes place over two weeks, from June 28 to July 10, 2026, on the "G. Gandi" and "Breia" fields. It is aimed at those born between 2010 and 2020, with training sessions led by the Academy staff, educational activities based on values, and festive moments with evening tournaments open to the public.
